how does my EC look for these schools

<p>asian applying to cornell(Ed) wash u, carnegiemellon, u mich, tufts, U of Illinois and BU
all engineering
just wondering...how my EC and awards look like...is it above, average or below-par
ECs.
1. Math Team (10,11,12) Captain 12
2.Math Club 9,10,11,12 HEAD (11,12)
3. President of Mu Alpha Theta (math honors society) Hotchkiss Chapter
4. Peer to peer math help program (11,12) (founder and head)
5. Middleschool math mentoring (11,12) (head, part of math club, founder)
6. (Volunteer Webmaster of OISCA (An NGO in consulative status with United Nations) (11,12) full time summer(8 hours a day), now 2 hours a week regularly
7. Physics lower class tutor
8. Computer Tech Assistant of school IT (8 hours a day at the beginning of school year, now 2 hours a week)
9. Chair of 2nd violin of Orchestra (played for 11 years)</p>

1. AMC/AIME scores : AMC 120 AIME: 8/15
combined index: 200 (cut off for math olympiad :217
qualified for AIME sophomore and junior year
2. Royal School of Music Grade 8 Violin Exam passed with Distinction
3. Hotchkiss School Physics Prize
4. Hong Kong Math Olympiad second class honor overall, second class honor for calculation and first class honor for mathematical concepts
5.Qualified for the supportive program for the Exceptionally gifted student by the HONG KONG Education department...
6. AP Scholar, letter of commendation for PSAT</p>

<p>if youre in the class of 08, dont bother applying to any of those colleges</p>

<p>More than enough for Mich and UIUC. Good enough for all the other schools, but will not offset grades or SATs.</p>

<p>above average for all schools listed. Cornell ED looks like where you'll end up, with good SAT scores and grades of course.</p>

<p>For those schools, they are OK. They are not particularly strong though.</p>

<p>you show a passion for math and thats awesome if your applying as a math/engineering major. if you have grades and scores to back it up, you have good shots at a lot of those schools.</p>
