I am a junior in high school. I just got an 1 day out of school suspension for “stealing”: I accidentally toke a $5 item out of a store without paying it. My grades are pretty good; have a GPA of 4.1. How would the out of school suspension affect my college applications? Would the top schools automatically reject me for this one suspension? How would it look better for me on the application?
