My school uses a 4.0 scale (just like Rutgers) but has slightly different point values for "+ and - grades" (ex. B+ would be a 3.3 for an academic course).

My question is, would Rutgers recalculate the GPA for undergraduate applications based on their own GPA scale?

Not sure, but they do ask ‘weighted or unweighted’ on the application and I think they ask what numerical scale your school uses.

Our school is similar in that it has odd numbers for the grades, but the GC told my son to note a 4.0 scale was used on his application. (AP and Honors are weighted higher in our school so the GPA will often be >4.0)
