I am from SoCal and mainly when people talk about engineering, people talk about Berkeley and LA for the UC's. How does San Diego's program rank n terms of education and more importantly, in job placement?

It’s excellent. And I’m not sure why they’re so focused on Cal and LA, possibly because they’re from the [older] times when UCSD’s program wasn’t as well-regarded as it is now.

I would say its on par with UCLA as of now, but i wouldnt be surprised if it surpasses it in a few years

@Astrina, I am talking about the undergrad program.
It seems Jacobs is only for grads?
