How does W&L treat National Merit Finalists?

<p>I SHOULD be finding out if I'm a finalist soon but if I am, what happens then?</p>

<p>I know W&L participates in the college scholarship thing but what does that mean for me? I know some schools give a lot of money to Finalists and others practically nothing.</p>

<p>If I'm a National Merit Finalist and get a GWHS, do they add up? Also, the amount I would get would be subtracted from my loans and stuff first right, and then from grants?</p>

<p>Any info would be appreciated.</p>

<p>I remember reading something about $750 to NM finalists i nthe W&L viewbook. I'm not sure what it was really about, or whether it would take away from loans or grants, whatever it was.</p>

<p>I wouldn't know... I didn't do very well on the PSAT, and my state has one of the two highest cut-offs in the country.</p>
