How early to apply to Pitt Nursing?

@ aglages, I am from Virginia and at the end of sophomore year my weighted GPA was 3.875, and I think by the end of Junior year it will be around a low 4 to a 4.1. I have taken the SAT once and got a 1940 (610 CR, and 710M, I am taking it again June). As for curriculum strength, I have taken all Honors and 6 AP’s by the end of junior year (10 AP’s by senior year.) As for EC’s, I am a founder/president of 1 club in our school, couple of regional science fair awards, and an internship with NASA over the summer. I plan on majoring in either Biological/Physical Sciences or Neuroscience? Do you think I would be a competitive candidate for pitt??

and also another thing: college board says “Rolling notification beginning: 01-OCT”, sooo isn’t this the earliest than you can apply, or is it still september??

^^^
Your stats look fine (SAT CR could be a little higher). As long as you continue the good work I’m sure you’ll be fine.

Pitt begins notifying students whether they’ve been accepted by about October 1st. Last year my daughter found out on about September 29th. You can begin your application sometime in August, submit it by Sept 1st, have it reviewed by the first meeting of the admissions committee (sometime in mid-Sept) and receive your decision by October 1st. Although if they find out that you’re an Eagles fan it might severely hurt your chances for admission. It is not too late to cross over into the light.
