Anyone ever get accepted prior to the start of their senior year?

Thanks to the great advice received here, my daughter applied in person to Pitt's nursing school yesterday. Her application was complete, and they assured us they had everything they needed. Now the waiting begins. I've heard of people applying at the end of Aug and being accepted by the end of Sept. Anyone apply as early as my daughter has and hear even earlier?

You might look around at some of the older Pitt threads. If I remember, lots of people talked about applying in the summer; I don’t remember a thing about acceptances, though.

Here’s what the Web site says:
"After You Apply…
As soon as admissions reviews begin in early fall, you can expect one of the following: You may be:

Offered admission
Asked to submit additional information such as senior year SAT/ACT results and/or a mid-year grade report
Notified that your decision will be deferred until later in the year.
Offered admission to a regional campus
Denied admission
Students eligible for academic scholarships and/or graduate school guarantees will also be notified of their eligibility on a rolling basis."

Sounds as though the review doesn’s start until late in September.

Last year, the earliest anyone on CC heard from Pitt Nursing was the end of September. My D had all of her application materials in by the second week of September, and was notified of her acceptance in the first week of October.

I agree with MD Mom – it seems like Pitt doesn’t start reading apps / making decisions until the end of September.
