How easy is it from High School Freshmen to get internships?

I’m really interested in Programming. I learned JavaScript in 7th & Java & Phython this year and made a couple websites and bots and stuff, but I really feel like I haven’t mastered it, even after reading tons of books and udemy courses.

So, I want to intern at some IT company for a few weeks. The problem is that most of these companies have an age or class restriction(to Junior or Senior year).

Do any of you have any experience and/or tips relating to joining the internship programs? If it’s impossible for me now, what steps can I take now to help me get a good one(I really want Google) during my Junior or Senior years?

Honestly, it’s going to be pretty much impossible for you to get a legit internship. But I think there are 2 solid options:

1)Summer programs: there are tons of a huge range of summer programs for high schoolers. Search around the web and you’ll find some, especially in the field you’re interested in.

2)Look for externships, which is basically “shadowing” a computer scientist. Do you have any family friends that are in the CS field? Or you can try to cold email some companies/professors at local colleges.
