How easy to change majors in a school at Vanderbilt?

Hi, im interested in vandy and i had a few questions.
1. does Vanderbilt admit students by school or do they also consider the major?
2. In A&S what's the least competitive major to get admitted to?
3. Also, how easy would it be to switch majors in the same school?
4. How easy would it be to switch from mathematics to economics?

Thanks so much sorry for all the questions!

I think school only.

N/A

Turn in one form

#3 applies here, both in A&S

Lots of people have double majors. Mathematics and economics is a good combo.

When do people even have to declare a major? I thought it was in the spring of sophomore year in Arts & Sciences.

I believe that’s correct, @LBowie. D pretty much knew what her major would be by second semester freshman year, but procrastinated on declaring until preregistration period during the spring sophomore year.

When we met with the School of Engineering prior to S enrolling, we were told that it was easy to change majors or schools provide you were in good standing and met any acceptance requirements (auditioning for Blair). Although you are accepted to a school or college upon admission, you acceptance is for Vanderbilt University.
