How Electrical Engineering Majors are there at UCI?

Just curious. UCSD gives out this sort of info, but I haven't found anything for UCI.

bump… what is the most popular engineering major at uci?

most popular (anywhere) is either going to be mech e or ee.
civil e or computer are behind.
chemical/mat sci are typically last. although a lot of people will try to double mech with mat sci or something. i duno if they go together super well, but they kinda make sense…

this is typical i think.

Are you asking for how many? My graduating EE class is about 52 judging by the senior design course that EVERYONE must take (some take it early, some take it late so this is just an estimate). EE is definitely smaller at UCI.There’s about 19 graduating computer engineers. There are by far way more mechanical/aerospace engineers and civil engineers at UCI.

MAE and MatSci definitely go well together here at UCI due to Prof. Farghalli Mohamed (aka FAM). Only a small amount of extra classes are required for MAEs to double major…somewhere inbetween 3-6 courses.

thanks jason, wow 52 is not a lot, no offense. I’m guessing that there’s about 200 undergrad EE then.
