I'm shooting for accounting. Currently at a cc, trying to transfer to the accounting program at SFSU. However, accounting is an impacted major there, so I need a back up major. Decision Sciences sounds really cool (accounting is soooooo boring, and job prospects aren't that great either since there is a high supply of accounting majors and outsourcing). How employable is a degree in Decision Sciences, which is under the business department? Is it another name for "managerial economics"? Thanks

Looks like applied math and statistics for business management. If your math is up to par it’s probably a very good long term bet - especially if you pick up some programming along the way.
