Accounting vs. Statistics/Applied Economics Major

I finished my first year at a CC and I'm not sure if I should stay with Accounting or switch to a double major in Statistics and Applied Economics when I transfer to FSU. I took Financial Accounting last semester and I didn't find it too hard but thought it was somewhat boring. I love math so I was thinking about doing stats&econ but I'm just worried about finding a job after graduation. What kind of jobs and salary could I anticipate with a bachelors degree? Would I be better off just sticking with Accounting if I'm worried about job security?
Thanks!

Hi. Sunflower,
S doubled majored in applied math and economics (bachelors). Four years out of school he is employed as an operations research analyst for DOD making 80k. Check out USAJOBS the federal job listings for this position. There are frequently entry level jobs in this field for math and Econ majors. Pay is higher in the private sector But the hours are longer and there is more competition from applicants w masters.

Thank you I appreciate your input! Did he complete any internships before graduating?

Yes. But in banking.
