<p>I sent my app in on the 20th. For many others that I sent between the 25th-31st I got a portal login or at least an email stating that they have received my application. I haven't got any response from Carnegie Mellon though. How exactly does this process work?</p>

<p>You do not receive email confirmation, but an application receipt letter. These may take awhile to get to you so just wait it out. But if you haven’t received anything in at least 20 days i guess call up admissions and see if there’s a problem</p>
<p>It’s more like a package of multiple letters.</p>
