only 5 minutes away unfortunately

Xavier, they’re gonna love you. The people in your classes or your new friends are probably going to make you say certain things just to hear them said in your accent, haha. You’ll probably get sick of it! But they’ll get used to it. :)

Thanks Writer. Looking forward to meeting people, guess it will be a shock to the system at first, probably because i’ll be 3000 miles from home then.

Usually about an hour, but the worst case scenario is an hour and 45 minutes if I hit traffic in my college’s town and my hometown.

I live 26 hours away. I’ve always flown with the exception of thanksgiving when I took Amtrak.

50 minutes. I never go home, but I’m close enough that if I need something I just have my parents drop it off.

About 1.5 miles from the closest part of the campus, about 5-6 miles from where all my classes are.

Going to school in new Mexico this fall! I currently live in Virginia. But I’m originally from Texas (military).

Roughly 2.5 hours by car. It’s in a city that’s very different from my home city, which is nice because it’ll feel like a separate life. It’s the perfect length because my parents can’t visit me all the time and I’m not expected to come down too often, but I can easily come down whenever I want/need to.

10 minutes if I start feeling all Fast and Furious. 20 minute bus ride + a 15 minute walk when i don’t drive.

Hometown: 12,416 km from college.

Current Pseudo-Permanent Town: 8913 km from college.

About 1.5-2 hours by car depending on traffic and how closely you adhere to the speed limit.

4892 miles

7872 kilometers

all in all, a 10 hour flight, crossing the atlantic!

so that’s actually very very far. I so freaked out right now :(

(not in college yet)

~10500 miles, 17000 km.

@Xavier91, people will love your accent, but beware - people may copy everything. you. say. (and get nowhere near your accent). It can get frustrating. I’m not Irish, but I find that my accent changes slightly when I’m talking to Americans, as otherwise they don’t understand me.

I’m from Colorado and currently at University of Florida. But at least my dad and grandparents are only 2 hours away in Tampa :)
