Originally from Seattle, WA and I go to school in PA, so I have to travel by flight, which I absolutely hate. Actually, I'm here at the Philadelphia Int. Airport as I'm writing this at 4:30 AM. My flight earlier at 8pm got delayed, so I missed my connection back to Seattle, so I basically stayed up all night at the terminal until the next earliest departure at 6:50 am. Things like these are reasons why I hate traveling by plane; I always get myself in the worst flight schedule.

Anyway, how far are you from your home? Do you drive or forced to take the plane?

A few miles. It takes me about 25 minutes to drive from home to a parking lot (15 minutes if there’s no traffic).

Hey, aren’t you a fellow USC applicant for transfer fall 2012? :P

I’m forced to take the plane as well! Was just at PHL today with the crazy hectic lines. Also had to carry so many things because (well, I guess this is my fault, I’m a girl who loves fashion) MY CLOTHES DID NOT FIT! And, also, my bag was overweight by 4 lbs and the lady at the checkpoint was strict and wanted $90 for the overweight if I couldn’t get rid of it. Oh. My. Goodness!

I hate flying so much now! I really do! Thank goodness I’m transferring back to the west coast because I will be driving to wherever my next school is. Yayyy… for being across the country. -___-

Yep. From East Coast, go to school in California. It sucks a lot. I love home. Maybe am transferring next fall back east. Haven’t decided yet.

30-40 minute drive.

Almost 24hrs of flights and transfers. But I do like my plane food :]
I have it easier than those who have to drive a few hours to get home. At least all I’m responsible for is making it to the airport on time and then sitting still.

Yeah, that and the occasional groping by a disgruntled TSA agent.

30 minute drive. Live on campus because it is both required and I don’t have any interest in living at home.

10 hour drive. It’s too much of a hassle to fly, plus I always have too much stuff to make it feasible.

4 hours on average by car.

~ hour, hour and a half car ride.

hour and half by car

Not from the US, from Ireland. Will be my first time in the states, little worried about fitting in becasue of my accent.

There’s a girl at my school from Ireland and everyone loves her accent!

I live ~ 1 hour 15 minutes away from school, 1 1/2 hours in traffic.

That’s cool. Guess i’m just slightly nervous about, wouldn’t know how they’d react to my accent haha.

I live 9 hours away from home, so I have to take the plane.

Eight hours, but I drive.

And Americans love accents, so don’t worry. :-)

West coast school, east coast hometown. The distance can be such a pain sometimes, but it’s well worth it.
