How far away are North Campus and Central Campus? They look pretty far away on the map http://www.umich.edu/~info/maps.html . Also, are they within reasonable walking distance from eachother and is there a bus that goes between them?

they arent that far and the university operates a pretty good bus system that goes between the two. i don't think many people walk between the two, although i have heard a few stories about people making the drunk walk back to north from central on weekend nights if they miss the last bus back which is at like 2 or 3 a am, but that's a whole different story lol

It's a looonnnngg walk.

Down a steep hill (past Angelo's and the Medical Center, walk along a busy street for about 1 1/2 - 2 miles, then back up another hill. It's a fairly tough bike ride for a novice.

It is a really tough walk or bike ride when intoxicated.

Take the bus.

I've done that...

I wasn't drunk, just carrying a friend home...

Yup...

I usually walk back after on Mondays and Wedesndays. It takes me about 45 minutes to make it from the dude to South Quad. There's the hill which makes it tough in the middle, otherwise it's an easy walk.

A friend of mine lives on North Campus and he has to walk 45 minutes in order to get to anything. So, I'd say 45 mins.
