As in, which time period should I stop at? I hear that you should go over the 1980’s for Reagan’s policies, etc. But should I bother studying about George W. Bush’s presidency?

There will probably be at most 1 MC question on anything in the 3rd millennium.

I hardly remember anything post-1980 on the exam when I took it two years ago.

You grew up when George W. Bush was president. Shouldn’t you know any general questions they would ask?

^Agreed with the above.
Last year, I remember a couple of questions on post 1980 stuff. But, a lot of teachers focus on post 1980s stuff in the finals. My teacher gave a final that was basically an AP Exam, except it dealt with mostly 20th and 21st century stuff.
I remember a lot of Jacksonian/Civil War/Reconstruction questions, and a lot of WW2-Vietnam questions.

our book only goes up to WMD/Saddam Hussein

My APUSH teacher officially ended the introduction of new curriculum last class with the 9/11 aftermath and a discussion of general “2000s problems” (aging population, more illegal immigration, etc.) So I guess probably that.
