Hah, I think I could get over the horse smell. I love the outdoors, I just got the sense from their website and all that it was mainly centered around intense outdoorsy activities, and while I like that a little bit, I want to be able to get involved in other things.

I know right and their headmaster looked like a cowboy (not really)

Is anyone here applying for webb??? I just havent seen any1 talking about it

lol, Essay Boot Camp? Count me in! I’ve only done about half my essays, and winter break is going to be perfect for cranking out essays. :D

Honestly, good luck. Do you need help editing or anything? We’re like, idk, a family on CC. LOVE YOU GUYS!! Thanks for helping me out too!

Lol! I am so stressed out over recs also. Honestly- I haven’t written any essays that I’m especially proud of, all of mine sound like I’m driveling. Winter break means me sitting at my computer writing for my life because I’ve procrastinated and had writer’s block :(

Ah! I wish I could do Essay Boot Camp w/ everyone, but I’m going to a third-world country (!) to visit relatives instead over break, which means no Internet! I’m also nervous because my SSAT score was an 80%… so these essays better be perfect lol.

Pretty much all of the drafts done, now for editing I’m worried about how important the word limits are…most of mine are already wayyyy too long >_<

I am also very much looking forward to handwriting out my Exeter essays

Haha, so am I! I don’t understand the point of that… Someone told me it was because Exeter could analyze our handwriting? idk. lol

If it says the word limit is 400, my essay’s 399. If it’s 500, mine’s 499
and if that is the case (analyzing handwriting) then mine’s out!

I’m officially done with Exeter’s, even the handwriting. On to Deerfield now.

a little advise for y’all, put a lot of time into these essays because they can be a critical factor in the admissions process, don’t write cliche essays, don’t try to come off as someone your not, and don’t try to make yourself out to an admissions officer to be someone who you are not, don’t write for the admissions instead write from your heart, tell the admissions why you deserve a spot and tell them what makes you unique, don’t try to write something only to satisfy them.

I wasn’t taking the word limit quite so literally. One limit was 300 and I had 360. I wasn’t about to shorten it because it would interrupt the flow.

If it’s one online than you have to be at or under the word limit or it will cut it off… :(

really? It didn’t cut me off? Maybe we are on different apps

Do you have any on gateway to prep? And I was told that if you do print preview and the word limit is over, than it just won’t print or send

Yeah, I’m doing Hkiss and Andover on Gateway… who told you that it wouldn’t send?

Woowoo- Are you talking about the Webb Schools in Claremont, California?

Are you guys far on your essays? I’m doing one school a day and have finished Exeter and Andover. I’m planning on reviewing them over the next couple days.

Any one else extremely worried about time?
How many schools are you applying to?
