^^LOL, title is self explanatory. But essays are so difficult, and fun, and overall stressing..How to present your "whole" self in a few hundred words?

How much has everyone written so far?

It's so weird! Only a month left! :O

How much has everyone written so far?

It's so weird! Only a month left! :O

I’ve barely started at all, dealing with the SSATs and recs and everything else in the app process. My plan is “Essay Boot Camp during the two weeks of holidays.”

Oh, it’s going to be fun…

Workin on finishing Andover tonight… Have yet to start hotchkiss, sps, Taft, choate, and lawrenceville… :0

I have finished many short answers, a couple of formal essays, yet I still have more to go! It is definitely strenuous…and I have so much editing to do. Hopefully my essays will be complete and submitted by the end of December. Winter break should probably give me ample time to write…

I’m so behind. I have barely started. I just stare at the questions and wonder how to respond. I think I’m going to have to do an Essay Boot Camp over winter break as well.

I have finished all of my essays, and am now in the process of editing them. I have gotten my parents to read over them and give feedback, but I know that they need to be primarily my own work. I have come to realize that it is helpful to reread them and edit them everyday, because everything seems different after you have slept on it. I save all of my different drafts, and I occasionally read them start to finish, and it’s crazy how much my essays have changed for the better. All I need to do know is finish editing them and gather other personal things to send. I’m going to record myself singing a song and performing a dance (see username) and send that in with my application. I can’t believe that after ALL of this stressing, preparing, agonizing, and excitement, I’m SO close to getting the applications in. I need to make myself busy as soon as I press the “enter” button (they’re mostly online.)

I have like two short answers and one essay done…but I think I have ideas for MOST of them…

what schools are you applying 2? Also, what grade? For anyone to answer

four schools, prefer not to answer which grade.

9-ish essyas. four left? lol.

Ballerina22, you are annoyingly ahead! Good job!

…I feel like an overacheiver. I submitted my entire application yesterday. :p

Lol, I definitely need essay boot camp. I have about four to go.

Finished Andover tonight… Still have Choate, Hotchkiss, LVille, SPS, and Taft… ugh!

Good look, preppossibly. We’re roooooooting for you!!! You’re applying to a lot of schools, wowo.

thanks!!! I know… Im starting to freak

Haven’t started. This should be good. But I’ve been working on my recs so I haven’t been completely unproductive and I started kind of late in the process.

finished groton’s essay and halfway through deerfield’s still have like 7 more to go… anyone finished an ad for yourself??? ( if your applying to thacher)

Have you visited thacher? If you have can you tell me what it’s like? I’ve been debating whether to apply and I can’t visit. Do you think someone who likes the outdoors but doesn’t want to do a lot of activities like rockclimbing and expeditions would fit in there?

no I havent but my friend has. she said its great except some parts of the campuses smells like horse… feces

I am pretty sure you will fit in there… probably someone else in the school that doesnt like rock climbing and expeditions( im ok with camping but not with rock climbing.
