How far is west campus from the rest?

Hi everybody!

I will be going to BU as a freshman this fall and I am looking at the different dorms. I have noticed that west campus is really nice but far from the rest of the city. How long does it take from the college of engineering to west campus walking?

About 20 minutes

[Unknown road to College of Engineering, Boston, MA 02215 - Google Maps](http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Unknown+road&daddr=boston+university+engineering&hl=en&geocode=FTw_hgIdosnC-w%3BFZYwhgId5grD-ym3GrIt93njiTHqD-t-_XpXRA&mra=atm&sll=42.349636,-71.100742&sspn=0.003076,0.004683&ie=UTF8&dirflg=w&z=16)

Yep, about 20-30 depending on how fast you walk. You can always hop on the T though (You can easily hop on for free…illegally of course).

There is a BUS bus service every 15-20 minutes from West to East if you can wait. Walk is 15-20 mins max from West dorms to CAS. There are definitely nice perks to living in West, but I personally wouldn’t just because of the walk. You have a gym 5 mins away, great food (seriously), and a ton of party kids over there. ENG is like 5 mins from CAS so just add that time. You might be more serious about work living in Warren just because I am sure that most of the engineers are there also.

The walk really adds up if you have breaks in between your schedule and you have to kill time.

also, walking in that time frame is about right when there is no snow. when it starts to hit the 20s and 30s, you probably wont want to walk 15-25 mins in the cold
