how good do you have to keep up with your grades?

O.o.o.o.o..o.o.o.o.o.o YOU GOT FOOOLED :)

SHE is shallow :)

Haha! I guess it was a start.... maybe?

again, but our homecoming sucked! plus, she didnt do a good job on the float. we came in last.

i'll try to be more careful next time, lol.

oh the float, definitely a huge factor in the rest of your life senay, because you're going to remember it forever!

senay. why. are. you. applying. to. bs.??

I would agree with you but that is like this:

George Bush saying that America has to take fault for its actions and somewhere later in his speech blaming the Dems.

well, i did feel bad for the girl. but why would she put herself in that position? she already knew who was running. she probably thought people care about something other than popularity when it came to StuCo.....wrong, dead wrong.

Now you are trying to tell people not to even try?

Why are you even trying for BS, Exeter at that, then?

StuCo should be about who deserves the position the most, and who will do the best to better the school, not about popularity.

I agree wholeheartedly.

true but it doesnt work that way

anyway, i'm going to avoid this thread for a bit because i've noticed myself getting off topic with senay. sorry 'bout that.

Me too. I think I'm going to avoid CC for a while too...

i wouldn't go below a B, but stay in the A range just to be safe

...If you have A+'s it would be pretty difficult to start getting B's of any kind. I think that these schools expect students to slide a little bit. Like maybe going from an A+ to an A or an A-, but If you have grades like this...

A+
A+
A+
A
A+
A+

and they go to

A-
B+
A
B
A-
B+

THEN YOU ARE NOT TRYING

well, with certain classes (geometry) as you go further in, the harder it gets so...yeaaa. id understand why u went from A's to maybe B or B-

wow.. 3 pages of unrelated talking/fighting/arguing/ wtevs. PLEASE DONT GO OFF TOPIC OR DO THE TROLL THING, PLEASE.

anyways thanks for the input

I was definitely pressured when applying to boarding school since I was not only meeting just my own standards at the time. But even with my applications done and sent, I'm still working hard, roughly 2-3 hours on Saturdays-Thursdays dedicated to schoolwork alone.

Whoops. Sorry folks, didn't see the 2 page argument...

haha, man do I feel like a dumb ass now.

I don't think it will matter much if your grade drops like one letter, but be careful to stay on top of it because if they nosedive, you could be in trouble.

Senay, do you realize that most kids applying to boarding school care about their schoolwork and calling people who care about their schoolwork and their grades, loners is really messed up. If you don't like "loners" or nerdy kids, you probably shouldn't be applying to boarding school because probably the majority of the people going would describe themselves as nerds, including me. Also why are we called nerds because we care about our schoolwork? Maybe you should think about your audience and your environment before you make insensitive posts.

I disagree,

Most BS students are athletic extroverts. Of course you have the occasional dweeb, but schools do a great job in the elimination of the "loners." Personally, I would consider myself somewhere in between. I play 4 sports, but I am no star athlete. I get all A+, but I'm not a geek.

The definition of a loner would be something like "an introverted indivdual who has difficulties interacting with others" NOT "and individual who who is dedicated and devoted to their school work"

Everyone at any good BS cares about school work, but some of these caring kids are not fit to be at school with others (loners.)
