How good do you need to be for Williams?

jane, my resume was 2 A 4 sheets and a bit more on the third. I basically divided in into Academics, Music, Writing/Jouralism, Drama and Others (those were my major ECs) I guess Academics was not really necessary, but well..! And it helps to have a well organizes resume with a brief explanation of awards that aren't self explanatory. I participated in some plays in Hindi (the nat'l lang. in India) and I explained what they were about. With so many applications to read, a badly presented resume would really put them off. And sort the fluff from the necessary...thats important! good luck!

organized*!!!

caramello, definitely send in a research abstract. And blow them away with the essay. I'm a potential english music double major, and I wrote my essay about Tchaikovsky's 5th symphony and The Great Gatsby and how they relate. maybe talking about how literary criticism is a part of your other ecs would be a way to tie things together

Thanks guys!!!

Wow, tchaikovsky and the great gatsby! that's an interesting mix.

yes thank you for all the advice. i was getting a bit intimidated by some of the posts i had read on other forums, but everyone here is so helpful and friendly.
