How good is my ACT score for top colleges?

I got a 32 on the ACT (35 English 33 Math 31 Science 30 Reading).

I am applying to:
Notre Dame
Northwestern
Vanderbilt
St. Louis University
Georgetown
Johns Hopkins
WashU
Boston College

My top choice is Notre Dame, and I know that their middle 50% accepted students got 31-34. I think a 32 is good enough, but I just don't know. Also, I have a 4.03 unweighted GPA and have taken the most rigorous classes possible at a very competitive high school.

Thanks!

A 4.03 unweighted GPA? how the hell does that work lol
But anyways. It’s good but if I were you I would take it again just to make sure. For me when I’m applying I don’t want to be in the 50th percentile, I want to be in the 75th+

What’s wrong with a 4.03 GPA?

Yeah, that’s pretty good. I agree though, take it again just in case
If you don’t do better then you already have a good score to start with

hahaha
But I agree, how can you have a 4.03??? lol
if its unweighted it can’t be more than a 4.0…? :D

usually a 4.0 is the score that your unweighted gpa is out of, but i have seen some schools where they have a random 4.3 unweighted total for some reason.
and i agree with strosfan. Try to improve it if you have time.

At my school an A+= 4.5, A = 4.0, B+= 3.5, B = 3.0, C+=2.5, etc. AP / honors classes are not weighted. For example, a B is a 3.0 in AP Chemistry as well as regular Chemistry.

I definitely plan on improving my ACT score, but how good is it now?

I got a 32…TWICE XD

Retaking in September =//////

if you have time to retake it before you apply to schools try too. Are you a sr?

Well, its too late to apply to schools now for Fall 2009 isn’t it?

Regular Decision deadline for schools is like January something…so if you really wanted you could re-take it twice ^.^ hehe

I will be a senior.

If A+ is 4.5…then I think that scale is already weighted. Just to make sure, you can check the regular GPA rules at Collegeboard.com

Personally, I think a 32 will be good enough if all other criteria are met.
