Just wondering, but if anybody has taken the free ACT lessons from number2.com, does it really help boost up your score or am I better off using just Barrons, Thomson Peterson, and the Real ACT Test Prep guide?

sorry that I can't offer you any advice, but I'll bump it up for you b/c I am kinda curious too...

They are ok, I have taken both. They didnt really help me prepare for the tests because.....well I cant explain it. It only helped me in school area if that makes sense. It just outlines the basic rules for math and english and how to do the science. It doesnt even give you a number like 31. It just says "You did better than 95% +-4 on this site." Its not that great

icic, thanks! yeah, the website doesn't give real scores, it only ranks you among all the users

lol, I registered on that site but I haven't used it yet.
Should I go back to it?

... I had sort of forgotton all about it.

no

I really wouldn't suggest it for ACT studying. I didn't feel that it helped me all that much. I've tried it several times in the past and, as stated before, the scoring isn't exact, and the questions can be very different from the actual ACT test questions. If you were to use it for anything, I would for the "introductins" to each subject, which outline basic rules, and might be helpful to some.

I also was annoyed that scoring wasn't exact. It should be relatively easy to genearte a score from the percentile.

I don't think there are enough people on the site to make their scoring at all useful. comparing your score to other users doesn't mean much if there aren't many.
