Hey Everybody!
So I was searching for free test prep websites and found this website: https://www.number2.com/index.cfm?s=Iw8kIWNPbw2975822. I was wondering if anyone used number2.com for ACT test prep before. How effective is it? Did it prepare you well for the ACT? Or if you haven’t used it, please tell me if you think this is a legit website.
It is legit, but I don’t know why you need to go there, since there are at least 9 real ACT tests out there in the world. Did you exhaust them to have an excuse to go to Number2? (BTW, they have a really mediocre site anyway.)
@BeCambridge Thank you! It is a mediocre site, and I was just trying to find additional resources. I was debating whether to purchase another prep book like Barron’s or just use this website for free. I already have the PR and the Real ACT Prep Guide so I was wondering if I should use more prep because I really need to improve my critical reading score and science.
@athenanv13 Well, just stay working on the Red book until you exhaust it. There is no excuse as to why you would need to go to those money-sucking books that can provide nothing but common sense tips. What is more to provide than REAL tests by the REAL makers of the ACT?
As to reading and science, the only thing I can tell you is to KEEP PRACTICING. Just a concrete example: I before got a 23 on the Science section. I kept practicing with whatever I have and doing corrections for almost EVERY QUESTION on the Science section for each test I take. The second time, I scored a 30 on the Science section.
@BeCambridge Sorry, I did not make it clear, I did exhaust the books. I was just looking for additional resources that were free while I redo the red book and PR. Thank you for your tips!
@athenanv13 I meant to exhaust EVERY REAL ACT out there in the physical world. Did you also do the new one recently posted on the ACT site: http://www.act.org/aap/pdf/Preparing-for-the-ACT.pdf
How about those:

Also, did you do the first edition or third edition of the Red book? If you did the first, then you are missing out on two more from the 3rd edition.
If you also join the online thingy for ACT, you get two more.
So, assuming you have used the 3rd edition, you have AT LEAST seven more tests to practice with. To me, that is more than enough. After that you can come and ask whether you can use the for-profit third party books.
@BeCambridge you so much! I do have the third edition but I never thought of looking the ACT website! I will use these resources!!! Thank you soo much for the additional resources!
Here is another full one (though it might not have the best appealing format): http://www.actstudent.org/sampletest/
