How good is San Diego State Mech Engineering

<p>I've been accepted for Fall 2011 freshman Mech Eng at several southern cal uc's and cal states. I often see lists of which school is better than which other schools.</p>

<p>I really like the feel of San Diego State U. My question is, "Will I get a good engineering education at San Diego State that will lead to a good job".</p>

<p>Also, I've been told that San Diego State is completely re-building the Mech Eng department this year (ready for fall 2011), so I really can't tour it. Anyone know what kind of facility they will have?</p>

Find some statistics on graduate placement rates, starting salaries, etc.</p>

<p>I don’t think sdsu is very well known in engineering and heard a lot of people take 6 years to graduate because of how overcrowded the university is. What other universities did you get in to?</p>
