How good is SBU/GWU BS-MD program?

i got the same comments! hopefully he actually meant it
i heard decisions come out like two weeks after the interview so around march 4th.
if two people didn’t show up that would be nice haha. better chance for the rest of us!
@topher14, did you happen to get dr.bowles’ email address? because the one on the gwu website for him is an aol one and i don’t know if he has a gw one that he checks more often.

does any one know how many people were interviewed at the GW medical school in the afternoon?

yeah, there were nine people in the afternoon. how many were there in the morning?

14 in the morning.

i know one year they picked 22 people so hopefullly they do the same this year? or even better just pick everyone? :)

i like the pick everyone choice

me toooooo:)

oh i really hope they pick everyone!
okay good to know that only 23 people showed up.
where did you hear only 3 weeks?

i think a friend of mine said something like that but i could be sooner!

apparently in the past gw told dr.knowles within two weeks after the interview. so we’ll probably know around then:)

I got in!!!

accepted! :)

Got it! :)))))))))))

Me too!!!

good job guys!

has anyone made a decision yet? im having a real hard time with this because i like this program better than the others but the cost of gw is the one thing turning me away. how are people planning on dealing with that?

I’m not committing to them yet because after reading the conditions they sent today i want to make sure i REALLY weight all my options. GW won’t even let you APPLY to other med schools. If you take the MCAT you’re kicked out… So i’m seeing how my other program interviews went and my undergrad regular applications before i sign away my rights…

Does GW give any scholarships? How do you apply to those after ug?
And yeah, the binding aspect of it all is the one main negative that I see, along with the cost. Other than those two its such a good program.

@topher14 i get that but i dont really care for taking the mcat because my goal is more to be able to get my mba during my undergrad time which is something i would rather do than study for an mcat. and a med school is a med school so i dont care about that either. like i said cost is just my main prob  i dont think they give any scholarships. but i dont want my only option to be joining the army…

i’m like 99% sure i’m going  my other programs are much much cheaper but this program has been my first choice all along so my parents understand that. at the same time, i do feel guilty about it since gw is super expensive :/
