I am going to JMU and I and thinking about becoming a diplomat.
So of course I am looking into the international affairs program and political science program. How good is it at JMU? Will I be able to go to a good grad school if I study REALLY hard at JMU through these programs? Should I transfer? What are my chances of being a diplomat if I graduate from JMU as an undergrad?

I am a junior political science major and absolutely love it! The professors are fantastic and there are a lot of study abroad opportunities that can supplement the political science/international affairs majors. I studied abroad this past summer, worked on research with professors and have an internship in Washington for this summer. There are many ways to get involved with campaigning and political organizations to add to the education you get through the department. There is also a Washington Semester that many students decide to do as upperclassmen.

Hope this helped a bit! Feel free to ask any other questions!
