I was curious if anyone who has had experience with the International Affairs major at JMU. Specifically, I was curious about the academic experience (not internship opportunity, job placement, etc) because I plan to attend on an Army ROTC scholarship. If anyone is familiar with the Honors program as well, I would love to hear your feedback.

Thank you for your time!

My son is a senior at JMU. He originally was an international affairs major, but the economics was tough, and it requires 50 credit hours in the major, so not too much room after the gen eds for electives. He switched to Political Science, which is similar, but much lighter in its requirements, and he picked up a Humanitarian Minor which he loves. JMU has many " Alternative Spring Break Trips" for humanitarian causes which are inexpensive, and very popular. They also have a Washington Semester that focuses on either Politics or Global affairs, where the kids take classes and get credit for an internship Monday-Thursday.
