how hard are honor classes?

in high school i took them and did no think about what i was getting myself into, just thinking that because i joined them i was set...i dont want to make the same mistake, so is it really hard and requires some advanced mental skill

From what I understand, at a CC an honor class will have maybe additional assignment when compared to normal classes. There can be hard honors classes just as there can be hard regular classes. It all depends on how well your professor presents the material and the difficulty level of his assignments and exams.

At my CC an honors class presents the same material but goes faster, requires a LOT of participation, and requires 20 pages of written formal work.

elco honors are hardly different than normal classes -- sociology requires volunteer work, history required a few extra papers (nothing near 20pgs), and bio has essay based tests.

i prefer them bc the classmates rae guaranteed to be cool ppl -- or at least not boneheads. thats why i was in strictly honors/AP classes in HS

Indeed, in high school, the difference between regular physics and AP Physics was a huge jump and you learned the meaning of 'rigorous.' Fast forward to college classes, at least at a CCC, and honors just means 'extra work,' like a couple of essays or a group project, etc.

this hard

/makes motion with hands
