I assume that almost all students there are previous almost straight A students so I wondered how hard it is to do well academically? Are the business courses curved as they are in so many business schools? Thanks for your input.

My D is a current student at W&L. The classes at the school are definitely rigorous. She happens to be majoring inside the c-school so I can tell you from her experience that there are some teachers who do not believe in any kind of curves. She has had professors that do not believe in any grade inflation and do not give out A’s. That being said there are professors that do curve so its up to the professor and class. She definitely works hard but the reward of getting a great education from a credited business school is worth it!

My son is a student at W&L. He was in IB in high school, which definitely helped prepare him, especially with writing. However, I would still say it is much more rigorous. Small classes and the opportunity to get to know your professors has made it a great experience for him
