how hard is AP Calculus?

I'm going to be a senior in the IB program here in Georgia, and i was planning on taking Calc AB. How hard is this class? I used to get high A's in math until precalc came along in 11th grade, and i started getting B's in the class.

But another reason is that i also didnt try as hard as i could have with this previous teacher because she was Chinese so half of the time, none of the people in the class could understand her. originally i tried to study the lessons at home and did the homework, but the tests had things on there that she had never even taught us. After trying a bunch of things including tutoring, i decided i might as well accept my B and put that extra effort into my other classes. So im wondering ultimately, if i try extremely hard will i be able to understand and grasp math efficiently and quickly in ap calc? btw i would be taking this class as an elective alongside SL Math (IB calc) since my teacher said it could be done.

is it doable? im planning on brushing up on my precalc and solidifying my skills before school starts again. Any other advice/information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for the all your help! :)

i have the same question but im taking bc; our precalc teacher did nothing so that class was just a review of algebra 2 and trig. what summer prep should i do so im not totally screwed? and can you really teach yourself calculus?

LOL AP Calc BC is rly easy.
If you already have a good foundation on high school math, then you should be able to self-study

what about ap calc AB … any tips for that class? is it easy?

BC is the same thing as AB, but with extra material
