How hard is Emory?

Hi guys,

Emory is my ideal pre-med university. I was wondering how hard it is to get a 3.8 GPA at Emory for med school with a lot of parallel research and volunteering.

Is it humanely doable? I know GPA is one of the prime factors. Has anyone achieved it? Did anyone get into med-school from Emory?

Thanks. How hard would I have to work for it?

Thanks again guys.

You should be fine, a 3.8 in pre-med is hard everywhere, however at Emory, one would have to be very smart among a campus of smart people. However, 3.5 is what is more reasonable, for an elite curriculum. If you really want easy you have to go to a state school.

@emorynavy Thanks! Do you know if there are EMTs around that I can volunteer in?

No need to think about it: http://campserv.emory.edu/public-safety/eems/volunteer/index.html

Oh, I was looking for that; I am really interested in emergency medicine opportunities! Thanks @bernie12

I heard Emory is above average difficult from my peers that attended

And they generally work harder than Ivies (except Princeton)
