So I just got hired at this electronics store which I will be working for part time over the summer and into the school year hopefully. And I was wondering how hard is it to do both? I have 14 hrs a week for school if that helps and driving isnt a problem since there less than 10 minutes apart. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

delete please

Not sure the reason you wanted to delete your post, but you should be able to edit it and delete. Meanwhile, if you still want an answer but just didn't want as many specifics noted for fear of privacy issues, I will toss out that my brother had a job at Radio Shack while in college taking a pretty heavy load (under 20 credits, but over 15, and in a mix of pre-med sciences plus classes for his physics and EE majors) and had no problem keeping a high GPA. My son also had a job off campus at a tech company while in college his last semester in addition to doing things like festivals to sell his art and it wasn't a problem for him to get a 4.0 (six courses; mix of upper level and graduate level) while working those jobs and being active in ECs. But it's going to depend on the given individual as to how hard going to school and having a PT job will be. That said, I believe research done decades ago showed that students with jobs of 20 hours or less a week had higher GPA's on average than students with no jobs at all, so it could be that having a job will help you to stay focused overall, be organized, etc. (or it could be just that people game to work while in college are just harder and/or better workers in general).

It shouldn't be too hard. I had 15 credits last year and worked about 12hrs/week. I still maintained a pretty good gpa (3.86). Next year I plan on taking 15.5 credits and working about 20hrs/week. I'll see how that goes.

thanks guys. the reason for me wanting to delete is cause i thought this would do better in college life.
