I'm sure this has been asked before but i can't find the threads anywhere so if you have a link feel free to post. anyway...

I'm not very good at science due to the fact that the high school I currently attend sucks.
I'm afraid if I do pre-med it will be way too hard. Any advice?
Are the pre-med requi something that can be taught, you know something I'll get used to and it'll become easier?

Doing well in the premed reqs isn’t really about the caliber of the science you’ve had in the past. Even people who went to stellar highschools struggle with them if the do not form the proper study habits. But if you have a strong work ethic and are proactive in seeking out help when you need you should do just as well as anyone else.

Work ethic is the most important. Prepare for each class, make sure to seek help when concept is not clear. I cannot see how this strategy would not work.

I agree with the first two posts, work hard and seek help whenever you need it.

Just as an example there was a student in my bio lecture who hadn’t taken a real bio class since middle school, he always went to review sessions and kept up with readings and did relatively well in the class. =]

so it’s not about how much i know?

It is come time for exams, up until that point you learn what you need to know during class. If you keep up and understand what you hear, read, and do, you’re on the right track.
