I'm a white female above average stats which I'mnot listing because this isn't a chancing thread. I basically want to know how hard it would be to get into these schools if I'm going in as a female environmental, chemical, or nuclear engineer major

in alphabetical order:

Carnegie Mellon University
Columbia University
Cornell University
Georgia Institute of Technology
Lehigh University
Princeton University
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
University of Maryland: College Park
University of Michigan-Ann Arbor
University of Vermont
Villanova

I doubt your major choice would have much influence, considering that you’re likely to change it by your sophomore year (and colleges know this). Being female for eng. isn’t as big a deal as people like to think, either.

Not true. It is a big deal. For example, the admission rate at MIT for boys is about 6-9% and around 20% for girls.

Regarding to the OP’s original question, as a female student, you probably can get into most of the schools except Princeton, Columbia, and Cornell which you will need luck and good stats.
