I applied to FSU regular admission and am awaiting a decision. I’m growing very impatient and was just wondering how likely it is that i will be accepted. I have a 1710 4.9 Weighted GPA captain of the Bowling team, President of the Debate Team and a ton of honor societies. i know it seems trivial to even ask this but i’m just getting really impatient.

I got accepted on the December deadline to FSU. I was 1720 SAT 26 ACT. 4.6 Weighted GPA Class Rank 8%.
I think you have a very high chance of getting in however you have to make sure that your class rank, senior schedule, and community service are high. If you submitted a letter, then did you offer the university something that they would see as diverse and unique. Colleges do not just want a bunch of valedictorians that just sit in their dorms studying. Think of college acceptance as the job market, by being diverse you increase your marketability and add to their unique atmosphere. Being President of the Debate team is a great achievement so I think that you have a 90% chance of getting in. (That 10% is based on unexpected circumstances.

FSU is very easy to get into compared to top colleges in US.

According to the FSU website:

"The academic profile of the middle 50% of freshmen accepted in 2013 was:

3.9-4.7 weighted GPA; 26-30 ACT composite; 1730-1960 SAT total"

Being in the top 10% of your class is a big plus.
