how hard is it to get into the social welfare program?

Hey guys, I've decided I'm going to apply to the social work school for the BASW degree.
I will be a transfer student from a community college, I got my transfer degree in June but am gonna take winter and spring quarter to complete the pre reqs for the basw degree.

Anyone know how tough it is to get in? I have about 4 months of volunteer experience doing a social work related job but thats it for my resume. I'm nervous if it's hard to get in and if it would be a waste of time applying. Social work is what i want to major in and UW is the only school I can afford that has it.

I was admitted to the social welfare program this year. I also came as a transfer from a community college with an AA. I don’t think admissions is too competitive. About half of the first year BSW students are transfers from CC. Admissions really tries to bring in a wide variety of people from different backgrounds. I didn’t have very much volunteer experience either but I wrote about how much i’ve learned in that short time. Keep in mind that you have to apply to The University of Washington and the Social welfare program. That means you must be accepted to both!

One last thing! Eastern Washington University also offers a Social Welfare program. I’m pretty sure thats a less expensive school if thats any interest to you.
