How selective is this program? Are 100% of the applicants potential ivy league students while the program has a 8% admit rate? If it is, I might as well not apply as my stats as of right now aren't at that level yet and my time would be better spent prepping for the SAT or EC's. How many apply for this program?

QB posts that information here [Acceptance Rates](QuestBridge) and here [2010 National College Match Finalist Profile](QuestBridge)

I don’t think those are for the colleges acceptance rates. I’m talking about for the acceptance rate for the program.

I’m not sure what stat you’re looking for. According to the table on the QB site, in 2010, 6647 applied and 2748 became finalists and 1550 were accepted into QB partner colleges. So about 41% of the applicants were accepted into the program and about 23% of the applicants were accepted by partner colleges.

Are all the applicants Ivy league material or no?

Well, someone with a 2.0 GPA can still apply to Harvard. Does that make them Ivy League material? Possibly. But all of the finalists are Ivy League material, I guess, since they are all admitted to pretty much the cream of the crop when it comes to colleges.

oh ok. would a 3.6 gpa be too low?

bump .

It depends. If you are a URM (underrepresented minority) or 1st generation college student, no. If you’re white, have parents who completed college, have a family income in the high end of the range (near $60k) and have a less than stellar SAT/ACT score, you may not even make the QB finalist cut.

A 3.6 GPA is pretty low for Ivy League admission, even via Questbridge, unless you have an exceptional life story to tell about having overcome adversity. QB is NOT a back-door to easier Ivy League admission.
