How hard is it to switch from software engineering to computer science at SJSU?

I was accepted to SJSU as a software engineering major, but after doing research, I have found out it is a pointless course filled with common sense applied to programming. Now, I want to switch my major to computer science, since it seems like the logical thing to do.

How hard is it to switch from SE to CS? Also, is there any diversity in the course? the last thing i need is to sit in a room with 95% Indians (and I'm from India). If so, is there any different major that I will enjoy that will enable me to work in silicon valley with a high paying job?

Would really appreciate the help.

The exact procedure for changing majors at SJSU is something most people here are not familiar about- you need to ask some advisers at your university.

Likewise about diversity and demographics, I cannot say. Honestly I don’t see why it even matters.

I guess EE or CompE are also good choices. But why is Silicon Valley so important? There are engineering jobs spread all around the country.
