How hard is it to transfer from SEAS to CC?

I plan to apply to CU, but I have interests in both engineering and the humanities. I’m not sure which school to apply to though. I was initially planning on applying to SEAS bc of their slightly higher acceptance rate, but I’ve also wanted to major in Psychology. Someone at Columbia told me that it’s harder to transfer from SEAS to CC than the other way around.

I guess this question turned into a: Which school should I apply to?

Thanks!

It’s extremely difficult to transfer between the schools, especially because you’ll have to do the entire Core—no exceptions. If you want to have a rock solid basis in engineering, math, physics, chemistry, etc.—regardless of your engineering path of study—then go SEAS. If you want to have a rock solid basis in Western literature, philosophy, art, music, etc.—regardless, again, of your humanities path of study—then go for CC.
