I am thinking about taking either Latin or Greek 1-3 next year. I took French for 4 quarters previously but that's it. How difficult would it be to learn Latin or Greek? I am more interested in Latin.
Thanks!

Mikali! I’m a Classics major at UCSB and I am currently in my third quarter of Greek. i took one quarter of Latin. I dropped it because Greek ended up interesting me far more, and having both simultaneously is demanding. Greek is by far more difficult though. I don’t know about French, but both Greek and Latin have a case system, as well as declensions.

I’d be thrilled to hear back from you! I can tell you a lot more if you like, but I’d prefer we comment on the site so I can have it for my memories :)

Thanks for the response. I am majoring in English and minoring in Classics. Where on your website should I message you?

Awesome! Leave a comment on the last blog entry I posted above. You just scroll to the bottom of the entry and click where it says {0 comments}. That allows you to leave one. I can write a whole entry about Greek/Latin/Classics classes based on whatever you want to know.
