How hard is North Carolina State university to transfer to?

Hi I’m a army veteran who currently goes Unc Pembroke. I have a 3.5 college gpa, 60 college credit, and a letter of recommendation. I major in history and still want to major in history so what are my chances of getting in?

Looking at the NC State websites and data, it says that to be a competitive applicant into the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, you will need at least a 3.0 GPA, haven taken a college level English composition class, and a college level math class that isn’t statistics. As long as you meet those requirements, your chance should be pretty good.

In 2015, NC State had 986 applicants to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and accepted 440 students which is about 44%, 10% higher than the standard transfer acceptance rate and I’m sure that rate is much higher for in-state students.

Just to let you know, NC State says that letters of recommendation are not required and not recommended so you don’t need to worry about that.

Good luck
