How hard is the NC biology eoc

I am a straight A student and am entering the eoc with a 96 average but my teacher taught me absolutely nothing and I feel completely unprepared. She basically just gave us book assignments the entire semester. If any of you have taken it how hard did you think it was, how much did you study for it and how was your teacher

Have you taken any EOCs before? They’re designed so that MOST PEOPLE can pass and really aren’t that in depth.

I had an awful Biology teacher whom I learned nothing from, I passed with flying colors. I also didn’t study at all, but you can do a little bit of studying if your teacher was that bad.

It really wasn’t that hard. It is just basic memorization. Nothing too hard, but if you need to, find some resources online.

I got a 99 on algebra 1 and 97 on english. Both of those I had an easy time with but I took a practice test and there were probably 8-10 topics I had never even heard about. Everyone I have talked to has said it was easy even the ones that had my awful teacher but I’m just freaked out especially because bio isn’t my best subject.

I took it this year, My school is on block schedule so i had taken it the semester before
( 5 months without any Biology ) and it was so easy.
EOCs are made so that the “regular” biology kids can pass, so if you are in honors you will pass unless u slept all year. It really isn’t hard, the hardest question on the whole thing was about the evolution of a monkeys jaw… because i slept through that chapter lol

I got a 100/99 on all my EOC’s, and I think that Biology was def the easiest.

Try this released practice test? http://www.ncpublicschools.org/docs/accountability/testing/releasedforms/biologyreleased.pdf

I already did the released test. I missed 6 which I guess is pretty good. Does anyone know what that would roughly translate to.

Haha, thought I would bump this thread. How did you end up doing? I took the Biology EOC last semester.

I ended up getting a 97. I literally couldn’t sleep or eat or do anything until I found out my grade because I was so freaked out.

Did you not think it was incredibly easy when you took it?

It’s not even reported to colleges AFAIK, you just needed to pass to move on. Nothing to freak out about.

@tennischick: Nice! Great job! It was easy wasn’t it?

@david: I think the reason why she was stressing is because the exam counts for 25% of your final grade in the class.

I took this test a few weeks ago. My teacher was stressing about it to–but to my whole class as a whole who had a class average of like 72%, with a few kids (4 or 5) failing. I had the highest grade in the class and she kept telling me it would be easy for me. I studied my butt off and finished the test in like 30 minutes but went back and rechecked my work SUPER thoroughly and spent another two hours checking. I ended up with a 95% (no idea how many I missed) but its was the highest score in the class (1 or 2 other people got 95 as well)

I guess I’m just a nervous person. I checked it over like 50 times and while I knew I did well, I was just worried about stupid mistakes.

Yeah, same here. I think I studied for 10 hours total because I remember almost everything we did in class. I was pretty nervous going into it but when I started reading the questions I almost laughed, they were so dumbed down and easy. The lowest grade in my class was an 88, I ended up with a 97.
