How hard is the Pharmacy 6-year program?

Not in terms of getting in, but AFTER you get in, how tough is the curriculum?

anywhere between 20-35% drop out rate. we start with ~250 members; we have 204 members now, and most classes graduate with about 150-175 members.

Why do kids drop out?

Typical reason why anyone would drop out …

switching majors
didn’t meet gpa requirement (2.8)
couldn’t afford tuition

…etc

I know/knew a lot of kids in the program. The ones who switched out all left because the courses were just too rigorous and they had no social lives. The kids who stayed in complained about it.

The pharmacy school here is so incredibly prestigious that graduating through that program would net you a great job. So it is probably worth the hard work.

Is tuition for Rutgers pharmacy more expensive? Isn’t it the same as the rest of Rutgers?

[Rutgers | Rutgers Admissions](http://admissions.rutgers.edu/Costs/TuitionAndFees.aspx)

It’s about $1,054 more for the Pharm program

My friend’s sister graduated from Rutgers Pharmacy school few years ago. She said it was hard, but she’s enjoying her life and making $100,000+.

Depends on if you’re really in to it or not.
The same goes for any profession, really.
