I took the Spanish SAT in May, and got a 670. This is honestly higher than I was anticipating. Even though I was content (even though I will retake it), my teacher was quite disappointed. I got the highest score in my grade on the national spanish exam, and I consistently am the only person in my class (Spanish 4 Honors) to get an A. This may seem like bragging, but honestly I'm just trying to say that I am an above average spanish student. A good friend of mine is in AP Spanish as a junior, she has gone to the Dominican Republic and conversed fluently with the people there, and she is amazing at Spanish, and she got a 690. I was just wondering if the SAT Spanish was designed for native speakers to only get 800s, or if there is just some method that I am missing. Also, I took this test cold with no prep.

My friend scored a 750 on the Spanish SATII and she is not a native speaker. However, her mom is an AP Spanish teacher. So, she gets prime one on one there.

Haha yeah. Even though she is not a native speaker, I’m sure she gets all the help she needs at home lol. My mother doesn’t even know what “Como estas” means lol. She still did really well tho that’s awesome! Anyway, I’m talking about the average Joe taking the exam with no outside influence whatsoever.
