Ok, so there is a lot of discussion about grades. My question is how does this actually affect post-undergrad work, whether being admitted to grad school or finding employment. I don't have a problem with getting lower grades, but how does the rest of society react?

Grades aren't really talked about much in my experience here, at least not among the people that I hang out with,

All in who you know, I suppose. I mean, I didn't know my friends exact GPA's...well, some, but I think we all had a pretty good idea of we eachother stood. And by the time you get to senior year/graduation, and people start getting elected to PBK, you get an even better idea.

Its W&M. People know the school, and know the rep. You'll be fine.

W&M has an established reputation of producing quality graduates. You will do well.

Yea, a general idea I suppose. Probably more so if you have a lot of friends in the samee classes you are. Most of my friends are from things outside of the classroom, so we don't have many / any of the same classes. But yea, you can guess and probably be fairly accurate. I don't really care what other people get, so I don't worry about trying to figure out what they have, heh. Obviously if they get PBK, then you know they do pretty well for themselves =)

Does UVA have a nice grade inflation? I dont want to kill myself in college like I did in high school.

From my experience, I have a friend who gets drunk everyday and skipped a month straight of classes of still got a 3.0 GPA. But that's just an anecdote, I don't have any real facts to say anything about UVA's degree of inflation.
