I'm thinking I may want to pursue a math major and was wondering how hard it is to internal transfer into arts&sciences.
Do you just need to get As and Bs for a semester and you're in? Or is it a really competitive process for some reason?

I would really appreciate statistics, grade averages, or other numerical facts/anecdotes!

I don't think it's competitive at all. I think the only programs you might have difficulty transferring into are architecture (since it requires a portfolio) and AEM (since it's such a popular major). The same thing might go for engineering, but I'm not sure.

I had actually written and revised an entire Arts and Sciences essay before ultimately deciding to apply to CALS. It was a tough decision, so I spoke to a few admissions officers about the internal transfer program; they assured me that transferring between schools was "very easy" and that "10% [!] of the student body transfers from one college to another in a given year."
