If you really want to go to Harvard, getting adopted by a wealthy alumni or making sports a priority over your love of academics or fellow humans could work better for you.

“Their analysis suggests that a 10 percent chance of admission rises to 50 percent for a legacy, 70 percent for children of donors on the dean’s list, and “near certainty” of admission as a recruited athlete.”
