I have a horrible PSAT score (i think just barely over 1600) and i havn't taken the SAT or ACT (taking them in May/June). Do selective summer programs take a PSAT score very seriously or do they look elsewhere to your grades, essay and extracurriculars

I'm interested in knowing this too, because I did the PSAT before I really even knew what it was. I decided practically a week before that I wanted to do it, and didn't revise at all for it, so I got a pretty average grade that I don't feel reflects on my potential :/

it depends on the program. Some care more about the essays (for example, Carnegie Mellon's SAMS program).

well, I know Wash U wants a 180 or better for its program (it says it can be a LITTLE lower)
